Very nice, Joe and Paul. You can never go wrong posting wine, Paul. The can is great, Joe.

Hi, Number 9.

May sketch later today, I think I'm still on holiday. Oh, right, we are retired, every day is a holiday.....

Ai - I do not think I have ever seen you post a purely ink piece from your plein air travels. If you have it did not strike me as this piece had. It has a crisp look linear look so different from your watercolor works that seem to flow. Temple is beautiful as is your painting of it

Joe: Thank you so much for your kind observation. ...The truth was that my ink sketch was done at the last stop of a 2-day-one-night sketch trip for all good attractions of Chachoengsoo Province. As some selected sketches from 10 sketchers will be showcased in a life-style magazine of Feb. issue. I was tired from lack of sleep and it is the last stop of sketching... so I just sit down and sketch with only ink pen. In additional, I also have been given an expired paper Moleskine watercolor sketchbook. Eventhough the sketchbook brand was legend, but my gift giver must have gotten it from ebay ... therefore, the watercolor paper on the Moleskine was too old and the sizing (chemical glaze on watercolor paper to keep the color not sunk down the paper) was gone. So I had good reason to detour my sketch to just ink. and I am glad the result was good. I hope to try it again.

Number9, Jo: Hello

Paul: Thanks. I am glad I sketch something that bring a smile to you of Thailand. I like your house sketch. Lovely. Don't worry of the water wash. We can also sketch a new one if we don't like the result of what we did.

Ai, your weekend sketch trip was very productive. Love them all. Wow!

Paul, what a great house sketch, so much detail and strong lines. Applause.

I'm using a cold as an excuse for not doing anything. Don't want to give it to you .... cough, cough..... in reality, probably just lazy.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #571: Jan 4 - 12

Ai - Sounds like one of those happy art accidents. Worn out sizing meant it became an ink sketchbook which was lucky for us. Definitely a "keeper".

Paul - like the clean lines of the house. The washes look fine including the storm cloud. Nice watercolor of the coffee can.

Keep sketching

Joe

Ai, great multi sketch, and your sketch trip looks super, as do the sketches. beautiful old building ...
Paul, Elvis the king, clever, well done. Cool wine bottle and bits, coffee can too. Ace sketch of the house ...
Joe, the can is good, don't look wonky t' me ...

I managed a little watercolour at art club, took one of my sisters pottery sheep and sketched it. watercolour/pen A5, about an hour...

1 animal related...
