Re: Delo's Random Sketchbook

Wow! You have some really lovely sketches here. I am so far behind that I couldn't read through all the posts, but I did look to see the sketches. Did catch that you were sick for a while. I hope you are OK now.

Very nice work. I love the landscapes, especially the colours you choose. They work together so well. I am trying to learn how to do that.

Re: Delo's Random Sketchbook

Wellness in a household with a child is a short lived thing, every few months we are nearly guaranteed to get sick. Fighting off our quarterly illness right now in fact, but luckily it was nowhere near as bad as it was last bout.

KaySilver, I wish I could really explain how I pick my colors... usually I just try to aim for a lot of desaturated low chroma colors and just one main color throughout to connect it all together.

KarenESP, Thanks for stopping in and taking a look! I have really been exploring all of the various media for doing landscapes and feel like I am improving in all of them a bit lately.

Thanks for explaining as much as you can. I'm always interested to understand how people go about doing things which I find difficult. It's helpful for me to then look again at the pictures with a bit more background knowledge of the thought-processes behind.
