First time here in the woodcraft forum. I usually post in the watercolor forum, but took some time off from that to get back into some woodworking that I used to do some thirty years ago. I got the idea to make a couple of tables for my art room using some wood that I had laying around from thirty years ago, including some nice spalted maple.
The dark wood for the stretchers and legs, along with the breadboard ends and dark side pieces are made from American black walnut. The outer sides of the legs are curved in towards the center (about 3/8"), as are the bottoms of the front and rear stretchers.
Table measures 42 1/2" x 21 1/2" x 30" high. Finished in Watco Danish oil with a coat of Renaissance wax.
