Question mounting canvas murals to walls

I may have a mural to do for a location far from me. I would like to paint in studio and install rather than spend months away from home. This is not my normal course so pricing and installation are a bit of a mystery.
Any ideas?

Re: mounting canvas murals to walls

Back when I did that fairly often, I found that watered Elmers was best. Most folks used plain ol' wallpaper mastic & put it on heavy but I found it too weak for the wieght of canvas & paint.

Re: mounting canvas murals to walls

Artistpowell, did you find something that worked for you? I'd love to see photos and hear about your project! I just finished a canvas mural, and hung it using wallpaper paste and cheesecloth. It's only been up a week so far, but the client was thrilled, and I found a lot of information on WetCanvas as to the best methods to install such a work. I hope you did, too.
