Post Miniature Forum Guidelines

Welcome to the Miniature Forum!
As well as the traditional miniature, the Miniature Forum welcomes artwork of all mediums, genres and subjects. Sculptures, doll furniture, cameos, textiles and digital works are all welcome!
The traditional definition of miniature art varies from art society to art society and does not usually include modern art or mediums. For the sake of ease and as not to exclude the many fine artworks of a modern nature, in this forum, we will define a miniature by size and not by medium, genre or subject.

Moderator: vmrs Please feel free to contact me via pm anytime if you have questions relating to the Miniature Forum or the ATC/ACEO SubForum.

Size Guidelines:
For traditional mediums, textiles and cameos the size guidelines are that the area of the original piece may not exceed 30 inches (approximately 194cm for our metric members). To determine the size of your piece, multiply the length by the width.

For digital works, the original image must be completed on a canvas size that is consistent with miniatures as stated above and that canvas size mentioned in any accompanying post. If your final image size is greater than 800x800 pixels it must be reduced to this size or smaller, as required by the attachments dialog window, when posting in our forums.

For sculptures, the sides must be smaller than eight inches, in any direction.

Exceptions:
There are always exceptions for every rule!
If you’re not sure that your piece fits our loose definition of miniature, please feel free to pm me or post it anyway. If this isn’t the place for it, we’ll move it to a more appropriate forum for you.

How to post images:
Please see this How to Post Images thread in the New Users Forum (click on the link).

For nudes, please use the “Butt Icon”. It can be found underneath the text box, just check it off and it will appear on your post. If you forget simply press the report button (red triangle on upper right of post) and leave a ntoe and it can be easily added.

Please note you do NOT have to make your images "actual size". I'm not sure where that rumor started. As long as the image is up-loadable by WetCanvas standards, please post your image at whatever size it is that you prefer.
