Venice bridge - C&C welcome

A view of Venice taken from Google street view. I recently came across the Virtual Paintout website and decided to give it a go. In December the city was Venice. I didn't finish in time to submit it to the website, but I thought I would post it here for C&C.

I chose this scene partly because it was so typical. It could be any of a hundred different places in the city. What made it special to me is the bridge and the reflections in the water.

Painting is 9 x 12. Colors mostly FUB, golden yellow, and American Journey Lucky Penny.

Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Nicely done, though it needs more darks.

Virtual Paintout and Street View is a great idea and now they are including Venice

Lovely scene of a canal and houses in Venice.

I agree with Doug that adding more darks will make the sunlit parts glow.

You also might soften that edge around the reflection under the bridge and put a pale wash of the blue you used for the water over it. I think reflections are usually darker in value than what they are reflecting.
