Thank you Doug, it is not your screen the painting is too pale, it is a problem that I always have and despite three washes on this one it does not have the body to it. Not sure if it is a problem of water to paint ratio or choice of colours but I can't seem to improve.
Looking forward to seeing more.

I'm not keen on doing flowers but I find doing Doug's challenges very helpful due to seeing other posts, which all those posted look great. strathmore 140.6x9.davinci paints. Thanks Doug. James

Glad you gave it ago James. Challenging yourself is a way to grow your artistic skills. I often challenge myself to paint something when I am not sure I can pull it off.

Tried the hibiscus today on 140lb paper. There are some lovely paintings here already that are wonderfully done. May add some more to it.

Been busy prospecting in the local mountains, but had to take time out for this challange. Haven't painted a flower since childhood. This is 10x10" on arches 140lb cold press.
