You're right! It is fun.

I did this from a little kit, including pattern, that I picked up at Michaels in Overland Park. It had a 5x7 black clayboard, the little scratcher tool, the pattern, and directions. The pattern outline was from the kit, the detailing my own.

Great first attempt! I have seen the kits, but not ever purchased one, but I am glad they are available to get people started. I look forward to seeing more! You can buy student or artist grade scratchboard and tools from dick blick too!
