Re: What Torch Do you Use?
I just moved from the Hothead to the Bethlehem Betta. Wow is it Hot, even with a tiny flame! I'm loving how quiet it is, and as soon as I stop melting everything (!) I know I will love everything about it. I use the pinpoint flame a lot. I have one oxycon (Airsep) and so far it is plenty (using propane). Also Jerry at Bethlehem is great about answering silly questions and a delight to talk to!

Re: What Torch Do you Use?
This is such a refreshing thread! It is so nice to see everyone excited about their torches!
I got my start on a HotHead and loved it while I had it. I now own a Phantom, but have the use of a Bobcat, a Lynx, and a Cheetah.
I just had a baby a few months ago, so I'm getting reaquainted with glass right now. The Lynx is my friend.

Re: What Torch Do you Use?
Yay! I didn't know you had a baby...Congrats!!!!
I'm a proud owner of a GTT Mirage but I've used the phantom and lynx for quite a while as well, and I learned on a CC.

Laura, I have seen your beads made on your HH and I can't see it is possible for another torch to help you make any better ones. Your HH ones are outstanidng. Bring some done with your Mini CC to the Challenge Day and see if you can get me to change my mind. I doubt it!. Love, Peg

Re: What Torch Do you Use?
I ticked other, as my main torch is a pre-mix Bulgin burner. We have two of them and they work boro really fine.
Then my DH has a Red Max with both pre-mix and surface mix tips, and I have a minor and a mini cc for soft glass.
We have a fairly substantial Airsep oxygen generator to run them, and a 7.5 rotary screw compressor setup.

Re: What Torch Do you Use?
Since I am still wet behind the ears with this "serious hobby", I'm still with my hothead and am suprized what all I can do with this torch. I chose HH because we had just finished building a house and could not justify dropping a wad of cash for something that melts glass vs. cuts steel. (I have a concrete with steel beam house).
Besides there's also some gratification to saying that it's not the size of the tool, but what you can do with it.
