Excellent work Robert! Jez' eyes are beautiful and all the better for not having to peer at us through clouded glass! That painting just keeps getting better!

I'm so glad Robert posted this on Facebook, too, so all my friends and people who know Jezebel can see her. It is an outstanding painting and the best ever! Bravo Robert!

Here's Chester the Molester. My hubby laughed when I told him this cat's name; he used to work with a guy name Chester, and that was the guy's nick name.

Pastel pencil and then Charvin pastels on 9 x 12 black Mi-tientes

Re: ~FEBRUARY 2016 A&W Challenge ~

Bonnie - your sketches are wonderful, you have such a light touch with the ink, I so admire people who can draw with ink.
Christel - I love your beach scene, it really has the feel of a hot and sunny day. Nice work on the birds in the foreground.
Deb - your sandhill crane piece is beautiful. I love the delicate colors you've used in the background and the way the red on the birds' heads pops. Beautiful painting.
Stephanie - I love your fish and his shadow! And the textures in the corals are fantastic.
Hydie - your cranes look like they are dancing, great energy in this one!
Kay M - beautiful work on the dog! His eyes are fantastic, and that' so important. Love the contrast of the background too.
Kay S - your deer painting is wonderful, a beautiful scene that really conveys the light perfectly.
Robert - your painting of Jezebel is just wonderful! I love that you broke the window and opened her eyes!
W.P. - lovely yellow tang! I like the background too, nice and loose and abstract, but we still know what it is.

Cat's story ..

One of Hustler's most successful comic strips (among the many featuring incest, rape, and racism) was called Chester the Molester which was literally about a child molester. The artist, Dwaine B. Tinsley, was eventually incarcerated for—yep—child molestation, but continued producing comic strips for the magazine from his jail cell...

Anyway well drawn

Cheers W.P.

Robert - I love your finished painting - the cat has quite an intense stare! Love the glass effect.

W.P. - I like your crop of the ref. Nice colours in the background and the fish really stands out.

Joanne - this is brilliant! I love the colourful and abstract background, it works really well. Lovely cat too Thank you for commenting on mine.

Mary - two lovely paintings. I particularly like the lines in the moose picture.

WP, I'm enjoying your version of the tang fish; nice crop and pure color!
So glad Joanne that you posted the bad boy on Facebook, too. Wonderful work!
I like your two small paintings, Mary, and that moose grabs me! I'm sure Thor the boxer will be fun to see.

Re: ~FEBRUARY 2016 A&W Challenge ~

Hi everyone I'm back online again, after my operation.
Still not reading words very well (there's a ghost image around the letters) but my eyesight is getting better everyday. I'm easing back into things slowly.

Many thanks to Kay for Hosting the Feb Challenge and for keeping an eye on the Forum while I was offline.
