Thanks Doug - I love really intense colours! The more intense, the better, so brusho is my favourite watermedia so far as it just explodes when you spray water on it!

I used brusho and spray gold enamel on tissue paper. Then cut out a photo I'd printed on A4 printerpaper. A layer of brusho coloured tissue paper was stuck on as a first layer, then the photo. When that had dried, I sprinkled brusho onto the background, sprayed it with water and tilted the canvas and let it run this way and that into the creases of the tissue paper. Then I covered the photo completely over with more yellow/gold tissue paper, torn into little bits. And yet more leaf green/moss green tissue for leaves beneath the flowers to 'ground' them. The last thing I did was to get an inktense pencil (an earth coloured one) and just tiddle around the flower petals a bit to give some shadow and shape to the petals as they were all much the same and from a distance it just looked like yellow blotches! Once I got the petals separated I used a tiny bit of water with a rigger brush to dampen the pencil marks and blend into the petals.
I did a bit of a 'how to' with my other (first) collage, entitled 'Brusho and collage Techniques' which is on another thread here in watermedia. It was made in much the same way, except I used silver/blues to colour the tissue before I stuck it down.
Here's a side view, I wrapped the tissue around the sides and to the back of the canvas. It's a shame you can't really see the gold shining on the photos!
