PRETTY IN PINK - Structured please

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: PRETTY IN PINK - Structured please
Year Created:
Medium: Oil
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 16x20
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I was trying to make the b/g more interesting by adding window lights/shadows.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Specifically, I wanted to know what you think about table and back ground. Does it work?

A great painting but your drawing is a bit off, ie.check the table back edge left and right do not align also the base of the vase is out of shape

Darken the background to make the flower colour pop

The bottom of the vase is not correct, the curve needs adjustment

Re: PRETTY IN PINK - Structured please

My two cents.

Your silver bowl has more detail than your flowers and the flower color is a bit wishy washy. Perhaps popping in some bolder color in your main center of interest flowers?

I like the background but think it needs to be a darker value on the right and that would make the flowers pop forward more. Also, the base of the bowl looks a bit wonky so perhaps fix the elipse of the base and 'seat' it.

Do yourself a favor, paint the bowl, I would also suggest deeper shadow and more detail on the flowers.

Are the grapes on the bowl a reflection? If so, I don't see any on the table. Oh, maybe they are on the outside of the bowl. I just thought of that.
