Welcome to the September Monthly Challenge! We welcome all mediums and skill levels in this challenge, so please feel free to join us. If you’re new, jump right in – the more the merrier. If you’re returning, welcome back! Glad to have you!

Please offer encouraging feedback on one another’s artworks, but don’t give any harsh critique unless it’s requested by the artist. I hope you find some inspiration in them. Draw or paint them as they are, or crop them, edit them, mix them up, or create your own compositions. We all look forward to seeing what everyone will do for the Challenge this month! Have fun. The sky’s the limit.

Thanks Kay – yes, busy month for wc – but business is slow for me this time of year – a good way to give back to the wc community, since it gives me so much in return!

Beautiful and fun references this month, CaliAnn! Thanks a million for hosting for us this month! Love that drowsy cowboy, the stone steps, and the boots – all of them are great! Can’t wait to see what everyone does for this month’s challenge.

ok – will start us off. Did the boots and decided to have some fun with them.

Anne – love those boots! I see that old shoes are even being used to plant smaller plants:cat:
Here is my version of the mountain, A4, op’s.

Christel: Beautiful job on the mountain. I love the ruggedness of the mountain against the soft, wispy clouds. Your landscapes are always gorgeous – you should join us in the landscape challenge :)

Thank you for you kind comment on my boots! One of my neighbors used to plant in her children’s old rubber boots – they were so cool! I tried to do the same, and managed to kill my plants within 4 days! LOL

                        Thanks Anne!
Lol. Try it with some rubber boots but remember to drill holes in the bottom.

CaliAnn, the boots are just super. And, wow on the flowers. WC are great for the airy petals. Soooo nice.

Christel, yes, you have a way with the landscapes and OPs. Just lovely. Much like we saw yesterday on a drive from Angel Fire to Santa Fe and back. Around Española, New Mexico.

Ha, how fun, cat in the boot instead of cat in the hat.
