        11×7.5 watercolor on Fabriano 140 lb cold press paper drawn and painted yesterday. The Pink Promise rose was chosen for breast cancer awareness rose several years ago and just now am getting around to painting it. Negative painting done on most of the leaves and stems.

            Lovely, I appreciate the theme. My mother had treatments for breast cancer almost twenty years ago, and we are blessed that she is in her 80’s now and doing very well. She has more spunk than I do! The flower is lovely, and I especially like the colors in the foliage. Beautiful.

                                                    This is so pretty Kay! Love the gentle colours of the rose and the background colour really makes it stand out. I like the touches of pink in the stems and leaves too. :)
