A Long Horned sketch

I think it is a Brahma mix...
I started this as a demo in Payson last week. The paper is very thin, very rough hand made watercolor paper. The stain is intense, and rather weird.
It is a sketch and it looks much better with a mat... frame is seriously bad, but the effect is nice!
11x14" charcoal with a white charcoal and a bit of liquid watercolor paper for the whitest whites.

Re: A Long Horned sketch

Thanks all! This was a tough piece of paper to work on. Sometimes the coffee is very resistant. Rubbing and erasing actually messes with the texture so I was improvising. Still have not found the PERFECT white pencil for this stuff. Chalk is best on this one, oddly. USUALLY white charcoal has more tooth to leave a whiter, crisper line. Pastel SHOULD work but it seems that compressing it for pencils negates all of the soft properties. So the bright lines are painted... the rest, with texture is pencil.
