Mountain House Mural

Hi y'all! I just got back from the mountains of NC where I painted a mural in a client's new summer home. It was a day's drive to get there, four days of intense painting, and a day's drive home. I got home Tues. night and slept almost all day Wednesday! Whew! The view was spectacular from the windows and deck, and the moonlight shone in my bedroom window every night. Lovely.



Had to use ladder-on-top-of-scaffold trick to reach the top.


Air vents (aargh!) had to become something else:

Your mural is beautiful! I can't believe you did it in four days!..much less climbing a ladder on a scaffold!

I too, appreciate all the autumn colors that you used and as usual, your loose style that somehow looks very detailed from a distance. I have always admired artists who can achieve this. Great job.

Beautiful work! I'd never have been able to work on a ladder on top of a scaffold, though, so that part is absolutely amazing to me. I'd have gotten up there and then ended up just clinging for dear life to the ladder, frozen in place, eyes big as saucers, till the fire department came to get me down.

I love all the animals in the scene, too, and I think you've gotten the fall colors depicted beautifully.

Vent? I didn't even see it till it was mentioned, so you did do a great job hiding that. Congratulations on a beautiful job!
