Composition in One Easy Lesson

I am a beginer and never had any formal training. Tutorials like this are so valuable to me, they help me understand the proper way to put a painting together and make it interesting. This tut was clear, consice and very easy to follow. I enjoyed it very much, and will use this information in the future to better develop my work. Thank you!

Hi Resada

You should also check out the John Cox Workshop

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=353552

its also pretty good- he talks about getting organised and step by step through some example paintings

Resada - Thanks, so much! Welcome to the Classical Forum!

Michael's workshop is really great!

Reading the John Cox workshop is a great idea and you may like upcoming workshop on tonal values with Bill Martin as well.

It's nice to meet you!

Thanks so much for yr. most interesting lesson on composition.I shall certainly be looking at the corners from now on. I have only just joined-I have been interested in art for 60 years, but have only been painting for 3 years.

Re: Composition in One Easy Lesson

Thanks so much, my paintings have very obscure corners. Never realized it mattered so much. This will help me improve.
