TGIF! 7/08 S&T

I'm pluggin' away starting tonight trying to make as much as I can because if hurricane Dennis keeps on his path, then at the very least we will have power outages here. No kiln, no generator, no beads, for who knows how long! Anyway, let's pray for the safety of those in the path. I'm trying not to freak out myself!

Here's my latest, and I'm a little guilty of being lazy lately and I haven't worked much. But like I said, I gotta get out there tonight!

Re: TGIF! 7/08 S&T

Lisa Love the colors! All of them.
Hurricanes/storms bring mixed feelings to our house hold. My husband is a CAT adjuster-claims means work and food on the table. A strange business but people pay good money to insure their homes etc just in case nature comes their way. And the quicker the claim is settled the quicker live get back to "normal". So I hope you get a break this time and the storm heads away from Florida you guys have had more than your share. Crank those beads out while the sun shines. I'm really hoping it hits closer to Texas this time so he (DH) won't be so far away. Sam

Re: TGIF! 7/08 S&T

Nice start to the show and tell. I have been practicing getting my bead down for the flame off at the gathering. Here is one of the beads that I am playing around with. It has some new elements, like the striped cane used for some of the dots.

Oh Lisa, not again! Stay safe.

Brad I just have to say WOW!

These are my first barrel organic beads and I am so happy with how they turned out. I made them just for my new pen and now it weighs a ton and I love it! All Moretti: black, b/w twistie and SIS, simple but I like it.

Have a great Friday.

Lisa~ those purple beads are Gorgeous!!
Melissa~ Great lentils, love the color and design on that first set!
Brad~ Beautiful bead!
Michelle~ Very nice bead pen!

I recently watched Margaret of MZ glass demo her twisty bead, then this idea came to me while sitting on a plane last week, unable to make beads for a week! I finally got back to torch and made this. It's huge for me!

Happy Friday!

Wow, Lisa! Those colors are just gorgeous!!! I hope the hurricane swerves away from Florida!

Brad!!! OMG that is one beautiful and technically perfect bead! Thanks for showing us!

I've been able to make a lot of beads lately because school's out, and I love it!

The first bead is my favorite hollow of all time, and then another hollow I'm really happy with... and the third bead is a shell that looks a lot like soft serve ice cream.

UGH!!!! I hate dial up!!! I had to wait forever for this thread to load to see all the gorgeous new beadies!

Stephanie -- Your new beads are just beautiful. I pray that you stay safe from hurricane Dennis. My mom lives in the Florida Panhandle (Pensacola) and she's not sure what she's going to do yet. Hope everyone stays safe!

Melissa -- Pretty lentils!!! Such sweet little sets!

Brad -- That is one seriously cool bead!!!

Judy -- I just love that fish!!! What a great idea to use the twisty bead as the body!!

Lynne-- You snuck in on me!!! Oh wow! I love ALL your new stuff!

Well, I'm praying that my DSL is back up tomorrow. This dial up is killing me!!! How do you all with dial up do it???? Guess I'm spoiled, huh? LOL!

Re: TGIF! 7/08 S&T

What beads I saw are gorgeous!- I'm on a dial up connection, so waiting to see them all is more time than I have. Anyway, my husband says that if I don't quit lurking and show some beads, he's gonna pinch my oxygen hose! I'm not in your all's class, but I'm improving. These are hollow with frit and enamel, Moretti.
