Converting Your Color Image to Black and White

Good article, Michael. I hope you will do others. I sure would like to understand PhotoShop better. I wonder if this article should also be posted in the computer/technology section?

Cross Posting

Apparently it is currently not possible to post an article to two forums.
I am hoping to do a few more tutorials in the coming weeks my plan at the moment for the next one was to be
"Removing unwanted objects from an image."

But I am open to suggestions.
As I said in the article I am no expert but am willing to share what I have learned.

MIKE

Just starting with Wet Canvas. Found your lesson exciting. Will try it. I do conversion to black and white, but always use "desaturate" to start. Is there a great difference between the effects of the two methods?

Give it a try

Tantra I can only reccomend that you give it a try. The difference you have in the control of contrast etc. is quite big. I know I am much happier with the effect.

Mike,

Actually it is possible to link an article to more than one forum. Go back to the article publisher, click on 'My Publisher', choose the appropriate folder and click 'Edit' next to the article you want to edit. Then just scroll to the bottom of the screen and choose a second forum in the pull down menu next to 'add a new targeted forum'.

Easy peasy.

Amy

edit: LOL I need to check the original dates on threads before I post to them. I bet you already know all this info I just gave you, by now!
