Good Morning Washers... it was a golden sunrise this morning in the warm and humid air. We're at 19C already today and it will get summer hot by this afternoon.
Nothing much happening here today. I have some bell peppers from the garden that need to be diced and bagged for the freezer. That's all. I'll clean the bathrooms and run the stick vacuum over the Entry rug.
I painted the hydrangea yesterday and it's rather pretty. It's certainly not dramatic and there's no strong lighting... but it's a pretty floral that the Beginners would like. It took me about 2 1/2 hours from beginning to end and that's really a problem. The Group will be here for 3 hours, but they haven't ever painted before. Oh *sigh*...
JJ, it's appalling that someone, anyone, has set those fires! I'm not sure that the parents can be held accountable for their actions... parents everywhere are suffering from the social and pathological actions by angry young people. Nonetheless, when they're caught, they definitely need to be punished to the very letter of the law.
I agree with Annie, that they should be forced to work in the cleanup crews to experience the horror they caused!
Uschi, Ted's hernias were originally the result of heavy lifting as a Paramedic. They were repaired and kept in place with a special mesh that ran horizontally across his abdomen. The surgeon cut up from stem to stern in January through the mesh. The pressure from the ascites has pushed the hernias back out and as it builds in Ted's abdomen, they become more and more painful. Given Ted's currently weakened condition and the constant buildup of the fluid, there's no hope to have the hernias repaired.
He is wearing a compression t-shirt and a binder over a large dressing because the incision is trying to open up again.
Hiya Doug and Geoff
(((Annie))) My heart breaks for you as you watch what you love shrivel away in the drought. Putting out water for the birds is beyond kind.
Hiya Mike... no paddling done here. Child Services would be paying a visit post haste.
Lulu, going to that movie is really going to be fun!!!
Sylvia, our house has quite a lean and I watched as Ted tried to level our appliances. I'm sure you'll be filling your nice new fridge today. I'll tell you that they are deceiving when empty making you believe there's all kinds of room on those shelves. There's not.
Hiya Bill... I like reading about everyone's weather. Without it, we'd be a dead planet, eh? Ms. Feral...
QS, committee meetings strike fear in the hearts of all who must attend them!
I brewed the coffee and fed the herd much earlier. I should have waited for the coffee because Ted is still sleeping. I'm going to pour a second cup and browse around the interwebs awhile.
All yet to come, those under the weather and our Lurkers. Please enjoy the best possible day!
