New Billy Showell Fine Tipped Synthetic Brush

I don't know how long these brushes have been on the market, but I can't find the information as to the manufacturer of these brushes.

Her fine tipped sable Kolinski brushes were rebranded Raphael 8408 ones.

The only place I can buy the synthetic ones are on her site, and the shipping is twice the brush's cost.

I am looking at synthetic brushes left and right, trying to find a long fine tipped one, and can't seem to find one for the life of me. I found rounds that come to a point, but not like hers do.

Does anyone know of such brush types and their manufacturer? I greatly appreciate this.

If you are asking because of the shipping costs, a brush is £6.00 and the shipping, £13.00.

If you are asking about the availability of synthetic brushes, we have them galore. But I want those fine tipped brushes.

Jackson's doesn't have them, though they have Billy's sable set, of which I have the 8408 Raphael non-rebranded version.

Her new synthetic brushes seem to hold quite a bit of liquid, compared to other synthetic brushes, and to release water quite evenly, and the long fine tip, well...

Ans so I was interested to try them.

Have you looked at Princeton Velvetouch Series 3950? They have a "Long Round" model that might fit your needs.

Doug (the North Carolina one)

No I haven't. I see that their 3950RL #8 is roughly like a Raphael 8408 #7, their #6 like a #5, and their #4 like a #4.

I might give these a try; saw some on Amazon with decent shipping fees from the U.S., and free shipping from Canada for a set of 4. Singles cost a lot less, but there is a small shipping fee, so a set might be better. A major U.S. vendor's shipping is close to $40 US for $20 US worth of brushes, plus customs, etc. And brushes weigh nothing, and they're not very long either.

Thank you, Doug from North Carolina!

It looks like it might be the Raphaël Kaërell round. I bought them at Blick.
