Arboretum Entrance at Night

Hello! I guess this will be my first post oh boy.
I used mostly just indigo and a mix of perylene red and azo yellow (for the orangeness). I did it on Fluid 100 paper, 6x6 inches, 140lb cold press 100% cotton. I don't really know a lot about the brand except it was a bit cheaper and smaller than the arches they sold at the store so I figured it would be more economical to practice on.

I guess for background on the piece, I spend my nights awake because I work 3rd shift (9pm-7am) so on my days off I spend a lot of time biking around town. It's safe because we have a lot of bike trails here. I really like the orange/blue of the city streets at night and I really want to try and capture the feelings I have about it. Uh, I don't really know if people do night scenes in watercolor often. I haven't really seen a lot of it so I don't really know.

The sky is really nice. Especially the light area at top.

Excuse me if Iím wrong. But I read this painting as being on its side, with a lamp standard, going UP the left side, and the light area being from the actual lamp, top right, off the canvas.
If Iím wrong, I apologise and will remain totally baffled
