After Millet

Drawing by Jean Francois Millet, followed by my pastel rendition in steps. 11”x11” on 140lb. paper. A good learning experience.
I have sparingly used Pastels, just bought some Nupastels, Fabre Castel pastel pencils, and dug out some old Rembrandt’s. Plan on going afield with them. Comments welcome.
