Child Portrait

11x14 Stonehenge White paper using Steadler Lumograph Mars Black carbon pencils, Faber castell graphite pencils, Ritmo charcoal pencils, and Generals Charcoal powder.

This is my niece. She always asks me to draw her things, so I tell her that I'll draw her something cool like spiders or snakes. Then she gives me a long lecture about how only boys like scary stuff and girls like pretty stuff like butterflies and flowers. So I drew her with something she likes.
I am going to give this to her parents as a gift. They still don't even know I drew it, so it will be a surprise for them.

Re: Child Portrait

Very well done. A pretty result though I'd have to say that my granddaughter would be up for the spiders and snakes!

That's awesome. Although if my niece liked spiders and snakes I'd still draw her with butterflies. I can't picture drawing a little girl surrounded with creepy crawlies lol.
