Hails from Australia
from the last couple of weeks

some plein air attempts from the last few weeks

a cold windy day, the light quickly went and I didn't stay long!

came back a day later and only did a little more

driving round searching for a new location, came across this one

this is the colour much of the grass at the moment

finally got to add a bit more to this WIP

Australia's oldest Town Square is being ruined by an contentious new concrete bridge and road and has sparked the longest protest in Australian history ...did a couple of quick sketches of the view before it goes, and I will have to go back for more.

one more tree study

Re: from the last couple of weeks

What a beautiful series, it brings to life the landscape there.

Shame about the bridge!

Re: from the last couple of weeks

thanks Virginia, yes I guess one of the goals is to try to bring out that life!
The 'occupation' of the Bridge protest has been going on more than 5 years now, very controversial and another example of money and power forcing its own way over public opinion.

ntl thanks!

thanks Thomas!
