Apollo's Chariot

This is a copy of a masters engraving that I did. It is done on A3 Airbrush Bristol Board that has been cut down a bit. Pen's were 0.05mm Uni Pin Fine liner, 0.1mm Uni Pin Fine Liner and a dip pen with diluted Indian ink for bits of the background. The somewhat over exaggerated muscles in the legs were in the original, so I copied them over.

I do enjoy this look. Nice work. What do you dilute the Indian ink with?

Re: Apollo's Chariot

Hi! I diluted the Indian ink down with a bottle of Glaceau Smart water, it is distilled water that you can buy in food shops, it does have some injected minerals in it, but the Indian Ink seemed to act better than using my tap water.

I got a pipette and transferred the Indian ink to a clean jam jar mixed the water and ink then sealed it with the lid, I could then reuse throughout the work.

I did some tests doing a very small painting using this ink with a brush last night, and it seems to have nice handling, I don't know how long it will last inside the jar though.

Re: Apollo's Chariot

You've portrayed the character of the age/style of the engraving extremely well - very nice work.
