Smile Oshkosh Plein Air Festival C&C welcome

I participated in the first annual Plein Air Festival in Oshkosh, WI a couple weeks ago. This was my first time painting Plein Air, and I had a great time!

I decided to use oils for some reason, which was a challenge. Here is the result of the festival. I feel like my colors came out chalky, and I struggled with the farmer's market/flower piece. Any Criticism or critique is welcome, I'm looking to keep working from nature and improving.

What beautiful work! You've done extremely well with these. I think my favorite is the one with the boats. I like them all, though.

Thank you! The boat one was very relaxing to paint. It was a sunset paint at a waterfront restaurant.

A wealth of production! I assume this was a multiple day event.

And yes, the event ran Thursday through Saturday with meetups twice a day for the artists at chosen locations. Though of course we were also able to paint anywhere else within the city if we wanted

My favorite is the farmers, (flower) market piece. Worth the struggle I'd say.

Those are wonderful!
I love the boats, the lake and the beach especially.
Interesting to see your time frames too, wish I could accomplish half as much in the time.

What a great idea, and I think you did consistently well over the period of time...especially being a 'novice' pleain air painter and unsure of using oils or it

These are really good! I like the farmer's market flowers the best--the struggle paid off.
