It works very well as it is.

Some ideas to develop your work if that's what you're looking for. It's not as much corrections as hints for exploration.
Try to not draw every contour line, especially where the light is the brightest (eg: the eye at the right).
Try to work on the way you apply shadows. Sometime you may be very bold with thick lines, sometimes you may be soft and blur things with a piece of cloth.
Try to work on the background especially to reinforce the contrasts with the face.

The ear Appears a bit small and the overall volume of the skull appears small compared to the face area.

Yes the ear is too narrow, I should have spent more time on it. The skull does look a bit on the small side, thanks Walt.

This shows a delicate touch and conveys the sense of a real person's presence.
It is slightly marred by the overly deliberate drawing of the shadow areas. You have drawn a line boundary on them which doesn't work.
With a slightly looser approach you will produce very good portraits.
