urban sketch in ink

I had an hour to kill between an appointment at the hairdresser and visiting a friend to spend the afternoon drawing. So I decided to do a bit of urban sketching .

Fountain pen, waterbrush and a very little white acrylic ink. I sat in the car as it's still cold here.

Are those buildings done with watercolor wash? Or ink wash?

thank you all and yes, ink wash - done with a fountain pen and a waterbrush to quickly create washes before it dried too much - and sometime picking ink up from the pen for washes

I'd got under an hour to kill time before going to a friends - to draw some more

Re: urban sketch in ink

I like the design and the "lost and found" nature of the ink lines. It does look like a fun process. Gary
