Owl Afternoon

5x4 watercolor over charcoal sketch on book page done today. When dry I adhered it to a piece of wc paper 140 lb using a brayer. Note the end of the text about the name Byrd. How's that for coincidence

ACTUAL SIZE

C&C welcome

Re: Owl Afternoon

Thanks Christel!
A brayer is a small handheld metal roller that artists use to press out any air bubbles of something they've glued down.

Re: Owl Afternoon

Another beauty. I like that the second last line says "The name was Byrd"< So clever!

I have to show these to my sister, she's a huge bird enthusiast.

Re: Owl Afternoon

Love it! I'm experiencing a fun bit of cognitive dissonance as I read the text and look at the picture at the same time!
