Slater WIP (C&C Welcome)

Started to add detail to the ship. I'm struggling to get clean lines, and think it looks too two dimensional.

And I think my wave patterns also look out of proportion to the ship - I can't decide.

Comments before I continue?

Re: Slater WIP (C&C Welcome)

It is a difficult perspective to work on,i would start from the ship, imagine the size of a man on her deck for the first waves, then work towards the front of the painting then gradually widen the space between the waves and keep them horizontal but not too regular just do the dark outline of the waves to get a feel for them being correct before filling in details.
