"Out At First"

While some might consider this a sketch, I kinda want to leave alone right here and call it a finished drawing . . as it captures, in my mind, the intensity of the moment and action . . further rendering would perhaps be distracting. The last thing I want is to do drawings that mimic photography.

9 x12 paper, graphite with a little pen & ink . . reference photo of a high school ball player from a friend in Texas who is a professional photographer . .

. . critique welcome and appreciated . .
