Grahite and Colour

Came across this image when walking in the woods around Fuschl am See in Austria. I wanted to give dominance to the religious icon which seemed to glow in the dim light of the forest. Never tried to mix colour and grahite before.

Re: Grahite and Colour

It really pops up the color part... Your drawing is beautiful, well done

Great!
Really cool piece and I especially love how you handled the leaves on viewer's left.

Re: Grahite and Colour

I like the touch of color with graphite but what really amazes me is the detail in the trees and leaves. Awesome!

Re: Grahite and Colour

How can you say you never mix color with graphite? You always put ME in your drawings and I'm in color (colour to those with extra 'u's lying around). Of course, most don't consider me a religious icon so that's true ... possibly Virginia ..

Really nicely done, Ron ... your work always has so much attention to detail that feels somehow "lacey" and delicate.

Re: Grahite and Colour

Hi Wassie, thank you, the detail did take sometime.
Now then Ken, your status as an icon is beyond question.

Re: Grahite and Colour

Hi Boafamily, thanks for your kind comment, I must admit I was fed up of leaves when I finished.
