MY COMMENTS:
I worked on this on and off for 10 years. I picked this piece back up and reworked it from top to bottom. I appreciate all input to improve from here.

Hi Fitzgraphic,

It's a great painting and you've put a lot of time into it. I think what would improve it would be to vary the contrast or colours on the two horses. I had to look twice to determine why the horse had more than four legs.

Making the top part of the mountain recede a bit would also make it better.

The above are just my opinion.

The color on the mountains does not fit with the rest of the scene for me..
a color harmony mismatch.. maybe the values are off too, as it look to be very far away...
See how the colourful fg area, has a strong dividing line across, and beyond that is a big jump /drop off? to far scenery.
The right side tree shape seems chopped off with the trunk so thick.
Left side tree is very nice & the bushes/shrubs..
