Sunset at Indian Field Creek, Yorktown, VA

This is a small size (4x6 inches on 140lb Canson watercolor paper) painting I did last week of a sunset view from Indian Field Creek in Yorktown, VA. Used Cray-Pas Expressionist OPs and some colored pencils for fine details.

Comments are welcome.

Beautiful, Raj. I like the way the far trees are balanced with the birds. Interesting textures.

Wow! Lovely details for such a small surface. The coloring is beautiful and really sets the mood.

I enjoy seeing the inexpensive Cray-Pas looking so beautiful - I used mine almost exclusively when I first started playing with oil pastels. Great job, Raj!

I love how you handled the grasses. The piece has a lovely evening feel to it.

Christel, Sonihal, Rich, Terri, and jlombardi! Thank you for your comments. I started using OPs 4 months ago and Cray-Pas are great for learning and experimenting. I will upgrade to Senns after I master the basic concepts of painting. This forum is very helpful to me.
