My first two paintings (Beginner here)

The first is called "Autumn Landscape, Mount Macedon".
This was the first painting I ever did. I finished it middle of last year.
Based on a photographers photo (big thanks to Lauren at L.M. Fowler Photography for allowing me to use her photo as a reference to paint. Her amazing photography can be seen on Instagram @lozm4).

The second is called "Morning Commute" and I finished this one two days ago.
This one took me about 3-4 weeks, was so frustrating.

Both are 16" x 20" on board.

Looking forward to my third painting.

That landscape is beautiful! And the expression on the guy's face captures the dread at starting a workday!

You've done extremely well with a first landscape/painting/acrylic - you seem to have observed all the important elements of the photo well. Good!

The second is a whimsical and fun painting which I also like.

Looking forward to seeing your work progress!

Nice job on both paintings. The guy standing near the door with his hands in his pockets is priceless; great touch.

Keep going and post them here.

Think your autumn painting is great for a very first painting... like your fence line & sense of distance. Is that a shadow on the road in the foreground? It looks a bit solid/dark.

Love the morning commute painting! Nice stylized look to it. Looking forward to seeing your next painting!

Haha thanks.
Should've made his hand in his trouser pocket. Was going to paint over it and start again but was dying to finish it.

Everyone on the train always looks angry or sad.
Many hate their jobs.
Thank you!

Good work on both. Very different styles and subjects. It will be interesting to see where you go with your next painting.

Welcome to the Acrylics Forum.

I really like the social commentary of your second painting. A nice crisp almost graphic look to it.

The landscape is very pretty.
