You have such a lovely soft style, it's beautiful.
My only thought is the lightness of the scarf seems to be distracting from the beautiful soft face, although the camera might be picking it up more than real life

This is such a soft, quiet piece - and beautifully painted, Michael. It looks like the pastel is adding texture in addition to color. That's quite a nice combination! Looking forward to seeing where you take it.

Amazing! I love the textured effect that you have achieved. Is the gouache underpainting quite textured, or was the impasto effect purposely painted with pastels for that look?

Thank you, Moises and Kat! The gouache underpainting was fairly impasto. But the pastel application was impasto in various areas.
