Hi Shirley, sleep well.

Hovering on 2C and rising here, the mist has cleared.

Re: *** Daily Wash Thursday 8th February 2018 ***

HELLO EVERYONE

It is 5AM here in snow covered OHIO!!!! I did not even step outside yesterday.Instead I spent time working on that child size ironing board. I pulled out paint, stencils, stamps, vintage sewing pattern & scrapbook paper!!!!

In the end I ended up going in a totally different direction that I thought BUT I am happy with the finished piece. So it will truly fit the mixed media catagory. Today I will need to put matte medium over the entire piece to seal it . I'll deliver them later today or tomorrow morning. Oh my goodness, you should have seen the mess I made in the kitchen working on this thing

I will say it gave me some ideas of things I could also do for my space. I'll have hubby help me tonight get some pics uploaded here. I can handle the FB ones myself.

WOW, I just read yesterday wash. So many interesting things we are all doing.

Uschi====I'm glad that the biopsy went well. I had one done when I was 40. It was not bad.

Geoff===The castle sounds wonderful. I can't even imagine 45 ft ceilings. It is nice you are doing the genealogy & too bad you just found out about your cousin.

I did not watch any TV news all day yesterday but did see a little last night. Please with all the things that we need to fix don't tell me that we are going to have a military parade for our man child!!!! I turned off the TV !!!!

Well OK I guess this morning I will go for breakfast & then get my pieces ready to deliver. I'm only in this because you did not have to be juried in

Wishing everyone well.

Anita

Good day all,

Cold and dark.

((Annie)) hope you feel better.

It figures, snow expected tonight and snowblower expected tomorrow.

I ordered some blue potatoes for seed yesterday. Also, five different clematis. Looking forward to their splash of color.

Had a terrible time yesterday communicating with my cell phone company. They had charged me twice for time purchased. Their explanation was confusing and their dialect even more so.

Taxes again. They'll get done today.

Good Morning all,

It is 5:45 a.m. on another cold and snow-covered day here in Oakwood. Dangerous roads this morning because of refreezing of the slush from yesterday's traffic. Both Kari and Christine have to be at their work sites early, so I worry about them driving in these conditions.

Anita, Your art project of the little ironing board sounds creative and fun. Good luck in the Show.

Geoff, Yummy lunch in a beautiful setting yesterday. to Claire for her gift.

Uschi, Glad the biopsy went well, hope the results are good.

JJ, Check out the Snow Pictures thread I started in Palette Talk yesterday for you. I hope more people will add their snow pictures to it too.

to all who were here before me and to those still on their way.l

SYL,

Sylvia

Good evening all,
Have had a little read through this thread and I dont know what to feel. You all have it cold.! This week for us its been hot, hot and hotter. I have been getting up early before the heat and staying up late to feel the cool (slightly). 39 degrees today and hitting 40+ tomorrow.. Sunday might bring some relief. It is so difficult for me to get motivated in the heat. cheers

#2....after posting had a wander around the bungalow looked out of the window and did what I never do...went back to bed and slept for another two and a half hours!
So breakfast was smoked salmon trimmings and cucumber on seedy toast,Eileen doesn't like the smell of either so that went down well....sorting some washing out then gym at lunchtime.

Re: *** Daily Wash Thursday 8th February 2018 ***

Good morning everyone! Still cold, but less cold than before. It's the calm before a miserable weekend coming up with sleet. We really need rain though. I may take the moisture, even if it's in the form of ice.

I have not had time or energy to do anything artistic these last few days other than get inspired by YouTube videos. Found some other loose watercolor artists to watch.

I've also been pen and ink sketching. I need to slow down and try to draw more accurately. My drawing skills definitely need developing. Even though I want to paint loosely, I figure I still need good drawing skills as a foundation. Plus, I don't want to limit myself. I just don't have the patience to work super detailed. But I do need to practice layering on watercolor and doing several passes. I wonder if I stop too soon when doing a painting.

It is so inspiring to see everyone's work here.
