Holding On

Hi all,

'tis been a while. Hope this finds you well. We're doing our best, amidst flu season and general madness.

"Holding On", Acrylics on Canvas, 50x70cm, 90-minutes quickie.

All feedback welcome.

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: Holding On

Daniel, Welcome back! What a dynamic piece. Every inch of the painting is interesting. Mom holding on to her child on a stormy day. Simply beautiful!

Re: Holding On

Hey Daniel -
Glad to see you are back, been wondering.

Knowing how fast the little ones grow, I can only guess as to which one of your children is in this warm and appealing painting.

Regards,
Trier

Hello Daniel! An amazing piece, so indicative of both our countries now. Love the color palette you've used.

Re: Holding On

Sharing the moment of sunrise
with a child
is a memory
that both of you will treasure.

creating a painting
of that moment
is an event
all of us will treasure.

amazing personal art:
that was always your specialty.
you have not lost that touch
thank you for sharing that with us.

Re: Holding On

welcome back! i expect the messy colourful chaos of this piece directly reflects your existence and i'm glad you found a little peaceful time to create a glimmer of loving calm in the storm.

Re: Holding On

Thank you all for your kindness. It feels good to be back, I hope this time I can defeat my inertia and spend the rest of my energy on art and not computer games after the kids are in bed.

I am glad that the shard of affection shows through the medium.

I will probably have to touch the canvas once more as some of the colors darkened in a way that it became more muddy than shown here, I will post an update here.

Cheers, and thanks again,
Daniel
