Still Life Sales Increasing?

I was at one of the most respected galleries within 400 miles of where I live just chatting with the folks there. They said that they sold a rather large number of still life paintings in the last two months. Several times more than the normal amount. And almost none of them were florals which was also outside the norm. Their main selling subject matter has always been landscapes, but the still lifes are catching up!

I enjoy doing still life paintings (not too interested in florals) but have not sold very many, so this was some good news to me. Have any of you noticed an increase in demand / sales for non floral still lifes?

I don't watch sales.
Painting is a love for me, not a job.
If I wanted a job, painting would be my last choice.

Total agreement with Bill, I only paint still lives to explore the subject and to learn more about design and drama, certainly not looking or thinking about sales.

For me it is about even for SL and florals.
