I haven't posted on wetcanvas or done a floral in a long time.

No doubt this is beautiful.
I wonder how you made such a strong background work? It doesn't steel the show and yet it is really grafic and contrasted. Maybe the chroma?
Anyway, it looks great!

I used solvent to knock down the color in the background, I thought it was a little overpowering and was considering knocking it down more, but I haven't because I like the color contrast

Ooh this is very striking. I love the colour of the flower and how you have picked out all the folds and gathers of the petals. I think it turned out very well and I would love to see more in this style
