This could use a little more work, but I need to get away from it for now and work on something else.

Christel and Maureen: Thanks for the comments. My scanner refuses to get purple right, so I took a photo, but it was underexposed and came out too dark. The sun is shining today, so I took another shot which came out better.

Beautiful. The colors look perfect to me, I like the bit of lavender-pink shading I can see in the petals. I sympathize with the color dilemma. I can never quite get my photographs to capture the true color whether I use camera or scanner.
