more moorlands

Two more of the very small paintings using acrylics I use ordinary acrylics but with the addition of using the golden open titanium white for my skies. Like that I can keep the sky workable until the end of my painting session. just 10 x 8 inches on canvas board. I am enjoying my painting yet not sure I am achieving what I set out to do. I feel I must keep going and paint away with the hope I will find something new on my adventure eventually ............

Nice Caroline: I like the brushwork in these. The first one with that red area is excellent. and the darkness at the bottom has some real drama. Both are top notch.

Re: more moorlands

Very nice! I particularly like the second one and I read it as a coastal scene. Love the atmosphere.

Re: more moorlands

Beautiful atmosphere in both. I am amazed you are able to get your acrylic to have such depth.

Re: more moorlands

Great work as always. Very interesting idea about using the Golden Open Ti White with regular acrylics!

Re: more moorlands

Once again I’m astonished at the size of these. They seem to be painted on a huge scale. Powerfully atmospheric.

Re: more moorlands

These are both such strong, beautiful pieces, Caroline. This time I am struck by the contrast between quiet areas and very busy dramatic areas in both. They grab your attention, that's for sure!

Re: more moorlands

Beautiful!! I wish I could capture a scene in the abstract as wonderfully as you do. Having something rendered simply, but yet implies depth and detail in the viewer's eye is incredibly hard!

Well done!

Randy

Re: more moorlands

Many thanks to you my painting friends for all your encouraging words. Means a lot. As I said I feel I have to keep painting through and see where it takes me. Hopefully it will take me to some distant mountains........

Re: more moorlands

Nice atmosphere in both, with a sense of warmth in the first and coolness in the second based on the color choices.
