Snowy Red Barn ~ xPost Landscapes

7.25x4.75 watercolor on 140 lb cold press Canson paper completed yesterday, a miniature imaginary landscape. The red barn is just about covered in snow as is the road leading to it.
C&C welcome

Charming! That's the sort of winter scene, I really like.

Re: Snowy Red Barn ~ xPost Landscapes

I miss having a barn. The house we sold to move here had a nice big red one.

We actually had someone steal an old barn here. They came while the owners were at work and the neighbors just assumed that they had permission and they took all the planks. They said they were valued at $80,000 and a company was going to buy them for that before it was stolen. Isn't that just the oddest thing.

I don't miss the barn, had to feed the horses all the time. There were mice in it. Snakes. This painting is beautiful and the viewer enjoys a serene feeling from afar, love the snow setting also and backdrop of snow covered mountains.

Thanks Virginia and Karen!

Mice, rats, and snakes all lived in ours and when I went back to see it recently after my brother tore it down, no wood was left. There's a huge market for weathered boards.
