Watercolour Greys, Auckland Viaduct

Grey is my most unfavourite of all so i thought I had better practice, this is a studio version of an en plein air piece, no name yet but will frame tomorrow and deliver to show next week.

Awesome work! The strokes look confident, and I like that a lot in a painting. Always impresses me when people aren't afraid to just get that paint down on the paper! I tend to be so timid with paint, so I'm amazed by work like this.

I really, really like this piece. I'm not educated in these matters, but it has a feeling of reality to it. I can almost hear the dock hands and smell the brine.
