Two small works X

Both of these are on hardboard and around 10x 12/14.
Shoulder has been bothering me, so goodbye easel for a while. Nice to work small and flat on a table.

Old buddies Chrysler Plymouth.

Great works, Derek, the classic cars are spectacular and the wood/buildings bring me back to my youth in N.E. PA.

Hope you start feeling better too!

Re: Two small works X

Sorry to hear about your shoulder. I really like the cars, the purples and greens are yummy together. Did you make a saturated red imprimatura or grisaille? I can see bright red peeking out nicely in places.

Re: Two small works X

Derek, these are terrific! The cars are incredible. I once owned a '47 Desoto, that was very similar to the car on the right. It looks like my ol' car, even though it is a Chrysler. Mine was a coupe', and green, like the one in your painting.

Whatever the subject, I've always admired your work.

They're both wonderful paintings.
