Thanks! This was on a 9x12 Canson watercolor paper with Sennelier oil pastels.

I prefer the backside on the sheet because I find the teeth of the paper to be more closely packed (eventhough they're a bit shallower). I'm finding that a denser concentration of grain gives a more uniform blending.
