"Mangey Marauder" - A photograph.

Caught this yote moving across the snow yesterday afternoon whilst in the company of another equally mangey specimen. Both had really skinny tails and hair missing in various spots. Sorry about the poor focus but they were way out and on the move giving me barely enough time to grab me camera and snap a hastily taken shot.

This would look good with a watercolor treatment. Would make a great painting...I've see a couple around here, too. It's a shame they get sick and mangey....Not sure I LIKE having them about. We have foxes, too. The come around my chickens, and sometimes they get cats..... but it's nature, and everything has a reason, I guess..

I have just been watching a program on the ANIMAL Planet for the last hours. It is called Dogs: The Untold Story. It is so interesting and they spoke about the Coyote and how it is moving into the suburbs of America with a recent increase of population in the Chicago suburbs. There are thousands of these Coyotes around but they have adapted the urban ways and virtually go unseen but live comfortable amongst us.

Mark,
Yep, that's what they looked like on my TV screen. That is a nice candid shot of one and agree with Natalie, it would make a good reference for a sketch or candidate for some creative photo software.

Thanks for sharing.
