Silly or not, this type of hype helped the film make millions of dollars worldwide.

I know....it was closer to The Flintstones than reality!!!! The REAL reality was they were remaking the original film ( One Million B C ) with better special effects and sexier cave girls to sell tickets.....and it worked!!!

Never underestimate the selling power of dinosaurs and sex....
