Release the Pressure

Hi all in Southwest/Western. I usually post on Ab/Con, but Kay Smith suggested I bring this one over to you folks for some additional input. It speaks SW to her and I never question a Texan on things SW.

Acrylics on Canvas 30" x 48" - Action painting. Base layer is loose acrylic, tipped and dripped. Upper layers were applied with paper towels and wooden tongue depressors broken down to various sizes. C&C are always welcomed.
Thanks for viewing

Beautiful!!!! Stunning work with great combinations of colors - to my eye this has the feeling of Native American. Very interesting method of paint application. A very fluid piece with lots of motion - great work!!!

Re: Release the Pressure

Thank you Aspenman.
I'm going to investigate Native American works over the next few days. It seems a happy accident is going to provide new sources of inspiration.
Thanks for viewing and have a wonderful New Year!

Hi Bilateral, and welcome to Southwest/Western Art! What a striking and vibrant work! There's so much to take in. Your colors are powerful and indeed feel Southwest. The painting process sounds like a lot of fun! I'm glad you've shared this here with us. It's wonderful!

Thanks for the warm welcome jennaboo88. It was great to receive a lead from Aspenman and, in general, viewing the work of your regular members has provided additional inspiration, in part due to a shared passion for the palette.
Always seeking C&C as they often make things better.
Thanks for viewing and best wishes for a wonderful 2018.
